ABSTRACT
In Italy, as in all countries of the Western World, a small number of children and adolescents with psychopathological disturbances are referred to the Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents — 4% to 6% of all children are evaluated, compared with 15% to 20% revealed through epidemiological research (Costello, Burns, Angold, & Leaf, 1993; Boyle, et al., 1987; Rutter, 1989).
