ABSTRACT

Globalization urban theology reflects upon the theological implications of the unfolding nature of multipolar urban globalization. The global recession of 2008–2010, the increasingly common use of the internet and cable TV by social movements to reach across the globe and ongoing waves of fluid migration serve as powerful reminders of the new interconnected realities of the network society. Such realities have rarely been explored by urban theologians who have continued to fix their gaze on local expression of the urban.
