ABSTRACT
Accidents and acts of violence associated with substance use result in significant morbidity and mortality (Roth & Moore, 1995; Travis, 1996; L. A. Pagliaro, 1993b)1 (see Chapter 1, An Overview of Substance Use Among Women). In this context women suffer significantly more victimization than do men.
