ABSTRACT
In her most recent writing, Cixous has again returned to fiction. 1 In Manne aux Mandelstams aux Mandelas—“Manna to the Mandelstams to the Mandelas,” published in 1988, Cixous combines her theatrical concern with historical others—here Osip and Nadezhda Mandelstam and Nelson and Winnie (also called Zami) Mandela—with the attempted delineation, made possible through the poetic resources of writing, of an alternative mode of living and relating.
