ABSTRACT
We looked at the postgraduate qualifications obtained by doctors who qualified in 1974 and in 1977, since by the time we concluded our surveys these doctors were sufficiently advanced in their careers to have most of their experience of these examinations behind them (Parkhouse and Ellin 1989).
