ABSTRACT
The Setting London will be hosting the 20 1 2 Olympics; the area in which I work
covers that part of inner London where the event will be staged. My specific area of responsibility is within the mental health services of East London where I seek to ensure that all users have access to the necessary spiritual support whilst they are receiving care. East London has a long
history of welcoming new communities from all over the world. As a result, the area is the most diverse in the UK: the uniqueness of the community is that it embraces a wide spectrum of ethnic groups as well as the many Faith traditions that form part of those groups. The area also has high levels of social deprivation.
