ABSTRACT
The clubhouse and other facilities that exist for the exclusive use of residents of The Heath provide one of the most salient characteristics for understanding the social lives of residents. It is the practices of use and non-use of these facilities that distinguish them from each other and which serve the residents themselves with the material with which to identify each other.
