Computerization in developing countries – model and reality

Let us return, in this last chapter, to the basic question raised in the preface to this book, i.e. what meaning do models have outwith their original cultural context? As computer programs are based on the models it seems inevitable that questions about applicability should be seen in this broader perspective.
