ABSTRACT
As there is a good deal of dispute over the terms ‘context’, ‘text’ and ‘discourse’, I shall need to say more precisely how I am going to use them here.
Text is used to mean linguistic forms, temporarily and artificially separated from context for the purposes of analysis.
