ABSTRACT
Between the two world wars Germany regressed from the constitutional democracy of the Weimar Republic to the ruthless dictatorship of the Third Reich. This change, which occurred with Hitler’s rise to power and the implementation of his own ideas, is generally described as ‘revolutionary’.
