ABSTRACT

We have seen that the management and organisation of teams of teachers in secondary schools is an extremely complex matter. Headteachers, team leaders and others with similar responsibilities have to provide a framework within which the aims of the whole school can be translated into objectives and tasks for the different teams within the school. A range of management skills have to be deployed to ensure that the various objectives are achieved. These objectives are themselves subject to continual review and redefinition over time.
