ABSTRACT
The Six Day War had far-reaching implications for the Israeli economy, in particular stimulating a growth of military and high-technology industries which affected Israel’s industrial geography. These long-term implications have been fully realised only since the 1970s and are discussed in Part III. Hence, this chapter focuses only on the direct consequences for the industrial dispersal policy, which was formulated during the decade preceding the war.
