ABSTRACT
Contrary to the opinion put forward by Parsons, the ‘individual’ has, on the whole, a greater calling in composing the irreducible element of sociology than simply that of ‘role relationship’. This has the result that, even if organizations can be considered as systems of roles, this does not hold for society.
