Integration of Learning Methods

In this chapter, I review the architecture that Occam uses to integrate similarity-based, theory-driven, and explanation-based learning algorithms. I describe the role that each learning method plays in a general theory of learning causal relationships. Then, Occam is compared to other systems that combine learning methods.
