ABSTRACT
In so many specialist flooring applications, it is the thought, knowledge and skill that goes into the design and application of the specialist finish that sets different contractors apart. The contractor is the final link in the chain and it is incumbent upon him to temper the imagination of consultants and architects into practical workable specifications and not to following blindly a specification without those attributes. It is hoped that this section will enlighten those writing specifications and reduce the gap between theory and practice.
