ABSTRACT
It is generally the case with specialist floor systems that faults find themselves and there are no sure ways of testing all the elements of a floor finish before use. It is doubly important therefore that each element of the finish, and that includes the substrate, must be carefully checked as work proceeds. Membranes can be water tested after installation, but this can be counterproductive with easily damaged membranes on large areas, as protection of membranes by the finish is also extremely important.
