ABSTRACT
In this chapter human genome structure is briefly reviewed with particular emphasis being given to the nature, properties, and distribution of the major human repetitive DNA species. Some of these repetitive sequences present complex restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) which are potentially useful in forensic analyses. These are described.
