ABSTRACT
The Muslim presence in Europe can be traced back to the early days of Islam, and Muslims have been living in Eastern Europe for centuries. More recent is the arrival of labor immigrants and refugees into Western Europe. Most of the discussion about Muslims in Europe is focused on the immigrants and their descendants.
