The New ‘New Approach'

In this chapter, the ‘new “new approach”’ is analysed. This examination analyses its rationale and thereby considers various issues running through the period. Next the history of the period is examined in some detail, and finally some conclusions concerning the period are deduced in the light of the earlier analysis.
