ABSTRACT

Although I am now a Jungian analyst, I once aspired to become a journalist. So, too, did another Jungian analyst, James Hillman. Hillman says that as a young man he “thought the way to take on wrongs was through politics and journalism.” That, he says, was “where my ambition was” (1983: 97). Those were exactly my thoughts at that time in my life. My ambition was to become a political journalist and to right wrongs by writing about them.
