ABSTRACT

The twelve chapters of this book elucidate the great importance and wide variety of technology transfers in modern history. The editors of this volume (Pierre-Yves Donzé and Shigehiro Nishimura) presented the core fact findings and implications of the studies in the first chapter. In this last section, I 1 will thus try to provide a possible way to extend these implications from the perspective of industrial history and competitiveness analysis by addressing the historical approach, technology history, industrial history, competitiveness, and the “region” as a potential scope of research.
