ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter the focus was on two representative puzzle cases: the statue and piece of clay and the contracting lizard. In this one the focus will be on cases of fission. That said, the first solution we will look at paradigmatically applies to a puzzle about synchronic rather than diachronic identity: the case of the 1001 cats.
