ABSTRACT

Understanding your boss and knowing how to maneuver around his or her defects will not change your leader, but it will change you. It will help you survive the psychological warfare raging in your workplace, and it will prevent you from losing your sanity. But that is as far as one might hope to go. To expect your boss to ever earn a clean bill of mental health is futile. To expect to turn the boss into a stalwart ally is a pipe dream.
