ABSTRACT
While the last chapter made the case for why an institution should engage in strategic planning, this chapter presents an overview of the strategic planning process and how to make it work. The areas which are discussed in this chapter are dealt with in more detail in later chapters. The intention here is to provide an introduction to the major components of the strategic planning process.
