ABSTRACT
As any discussion of this kind must necessarily be colored by personal attitudes and approaches, some generalized reflections have been introduced from time to time into these papers. How ever absolutely expressed, they are not to be regarded as dogmatic statements, but as prolegomena by means of which the reader may be made aware of the writer's point of view and may evaluate and criticize the opinions he expresses.
