ABSTRACT

This chapter includes an illustrative variety of arts event cases a number of jurisdictions in relation to specific implementation issues, providing readers with a best practice resource and ideas for implementing creative and sustainable events in the arts. Risk management is the process of assessing, analysing, mitigating and controlling risk. Evaluation of arts events, in particular of arts festivals is now commonly required by funders and sponsors and is an important tool for event management. This chapter discusses the case study of Bookworm International Literary Festival (BLF) based in Chengdu has been held annually six times over the since 2005. The chapter discusses the case dtudy of Leonardo da Vinci Exhibition which put together by Londons National Gallery. The chapter discusses the case study of Reykjavik Arts Festival (RAF) which is one of a number of arts festivals organized annually in Iceland and is referred to as the countrys premier cultural festival.
