ABSTRACT
The relationship between religiosity and social class has not always been found to be uniform or clear. Demerath (1965) after summarizing a large number of studies, which sometimes produced contradictory results, suggested that social class affects the way in which religiosity is expressed. Thus, we can expect different results in studies of social class and religiosity, according to the measure used.
