ABSTRACT
Some facts regarding variations in earnings of individuals were presented in Chapter 1, where it was noted that the wage structure of an economy, or the composition of wage differentials within it, can be analysed between different occupations, industries and geographic regions, as well as between different persons, sexes, age groups and firms. 1 In this final chapter we examine determinants of the structure of wages by occupation and industry.
