ABSTRACT
The use of questionnaires and surveys is widespread in criminological research and while the terms are often used interchangeably, there are some differences in meaning. While
the content may be similar, surveys are sometimes longer and often used on a larger scale as we will discuss in more detail later. For ease, we’ll primarily refer to the term questionnaire throughout this chapter.
