Since youth are greatly influenced by their families, communities, and social environments, it is imperative that helping professionals appreciate this context and attend to these systemic considerations (Lewis 6 Lewis, 1989; Nichols 6 Schwartz, 199 1 ). Because of these multiple influences, youth are not always what they appear. Often, the simple cover reveals very little about the complex book.
