ABSTRACT
Preparing for the first session with supervisees is a very important part of successful supervision; the clearer supervisors are as to their goals, expectations, and needs, the more likely they are to establish an effective working alliance with supervisees. Therefore, there are several required tasks: to review one’s preparation for the supervisor role, to make a series of choices regarding supervision, and to then plan for the first meeting with the supervisee.
