ABSTRACT

Self-esteem is the emotional result of an ever-changing collection of accurate and/or inaccurate assessments one continually makes of one-self. The assessments are based on the way one views oneself (self-image) and thinks about oneself (self-concept) relative to numerous personal characteristics such as physical appearance, personality traits, status in various groups, and the like.
