ABSTRACT

We look at siblings and wonder how different some siblings can be, all having been raised in the same family, the same parents; how can they be so different? It is because the family system is different with the addition of each new member. I come into the parent’s family system and it changes them from two to three; as another sibling comes into that system, it changes from three to four. And all of us who have children know how different we are with firstborns, and second-boms, and on and on. So families change as more children are added.
