ABSTRACT
To some people the thought of a close and rewarding relationship between psychology and mathematics is accompanied by amusement or indignation, as if one were attempting the impossible or intruding where one should not. To some the very thought of such a blend is a contradiction. Though there may be contradiction, that is not where it lies.
