ABSTRACT
T he chances are that you are reading this book because ADD has led to difficulties for you in the workplace. It is extremely impor-
tant, however, not to lose track of the potentially positive side of ADD. There are many adults with ADD who have been enormously successful in life despite their ADD-indeed, in many respects, because of their ADD. That's right, because of it! There is an upside to ADD for many people. As is true for the downside of ADD, people differ with respect to the positive ADD traits they possess. It's important that you make a realistic assessment of yourself. If you can recognize your positive ADD traits and learn how to take advantage of them, you can make the best choices about where to put those positive traits to work.
