ABSTRACT

This book seeks to generate a rich understanding of how a group of teacher educators in a career currently ‘on the cusp’ of radical change and historically ‘on the margins’ of the academy conceptualise their practice and make meaning of their professional lives. It is concerned with developing an indepth picture of their espoused theories, experiences, knowledges, self-beliefs and sense of professional community/ies, in such a way that the reader can in some way enter or gain insight into the professional world of teacher educators.
