ABSTRACT

The Biebkracht learning network (BLN) is an inter-organizational learning network for geographically distributed public library professionals in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The librarians’ profession is changing drastically in a context of disruptive social and technological changes and changing cultural policies. In BLN, library professionals work together to design, develop and implement innovation at a local and regional level, in face-to-face workshops and online collaboration. This chapter describes the architecture and the design of the Biebkracht (‘librarians empowered’) learning network.
