ABSTRACT
Resistance is the natural opposition offered by any material to the drift of an electric current through that material. In this chapter, we will be examining the resistance of conductors and insulators. The resistance of semiconductors and fl uids (liquids and gases) behaves differently, and is beyond the scope of this book.
