the Beirut sound? I can't answer this. It is a stupid question. Diversity: Beirut is diverse. Chaos: Most of the bands have some chaos in their music. They try to sound like someone else. This is what we are as people: We are diverse, we wish to be someone else, and we are a bit chaotic, so this is in our sound as well. But if you randomly throw one CD with alternative music into your player, you can't say from which country it is. You cannot know that this is from Beirut.
