ABSTRACT

As has already been mentioned, just four years is too short a period for drawing final conclusions about the regional patterns of Polish transformation. However, the available data on both traditional differentiations of Polish space within its more general Central European context and the most recent processes of transformation prove one thing without any doubt: that in spite of dramatic changes in the Polish economy and Polish society, the general spatial structures of this country are stable.
