ABSTRACT

One very important aspect of teaching and learning about teaching involves the process of refl ection and this chapter aims to develop your understanding of, and capacity for, refl ection.

By the end of this chapter you should be able to:

• understand how refl ection might be conceptualised; • know where in teaching refl ection should take place; • engage in refl ective practice; • consider why refl ecting on your practice is important.
