ABSTRACT

As many women who resort to violence in their relationships have themselves been victims of violence and abuse in the past, it is important to take a close look at areas of your life where you can begin to gain a sense of safety and security in your relationships. Many of you may still be in a relationship with the person considered the victim of your use of aggression, and it is important to develop a plan to deal with crisis situations that may occur. We also understand that some of you may be in a relationship where you consider yourself as a victim of abuse. Regardless of your situation, safety is important. This chapter is designed to present methods to deal with those crisis situations if they arise in order to have a plan of action to deal with these situations in a nonviolent way.
