ABSTRACT

DMM formulations are built on the ideas of systemic formulation, but contain a few differences. The most significant, the focus on the functions of protection and reproduction, leads to the use of the term ‘functional formulation’. This highlights that it is the function of the behavior that is the central interest in understanding problematic or dangerous behavior. This focuses the process of examining information and generating explanations for behavior.
