ABSTRACT

The Iron Age in the Mediterranean basin of the Iberian Peninsula spans the seventh to first centuries b.c. This is also the time frame of the Iberians, as the peoples of this area are called in such classical sources as the Greek historians Herodotus and Hecataeus of Miletus and Latin historians Strabo, Pliny, and, later, Rufus Festus Avienus and Ptolemy.
