ABSTRACT
Assessments aim to evaluate student attainment of learning
outcomes by examining student performance either directly
(e.g. by observation) or indirectly (e.g. by an exam).
Assessments-and the outcomes they are based on-should
reflect the kind of real-world activities or skills that you
envision students performing in the future, after they’ve left
your course and are applying what they’ve learned.
