ABSTRACT
This essay should be read as a prolegomenon. It presents an attempt to identify the locus and focus of dramaturgy, emphasize its shifts within the postdramatic paradigm, and correlate dramaturgy with performance studies as their neglected yet sisterly meta-/inter-/post-discipline.
