ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the essential issues of copyright protection and expansion already addressed in Chapter 2 are further explored through reviewing the digital context of copyright protection and expansion under some specifi c industry or market structure from a Schumpeterian perspective. Specifi cally, the issues of anti-commons and antitrust behind copyright expansion will be elaborated and debates over copyright expansion will be discussed before constructing theoretical framework and conducting empirical assessment in Chapters 4 and 5 .
