ABSTRACT

A course in group work is a fundamental requirement for graduating from a counselor education program with a master’s degree, especially one accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). There are a number of essentials that students must take from such a course. There are also some common decisions and dilemmas instructors face when presenting a course with this content. Furthermore, there are some absolutely critical components a course of this nature must contain.
