ABSTRACT
Using a different, themed approach each term can be of benefit in creating a focus that lasts for a considerable time. The diversity of subjects and themes in the mainstream classroom can be confusing for the child with learning difficulties. Insufficient time may be spent on any one area before moving on, for some children, with the result that they never fully grasp a concept that is being taught.
