ABSTRACT
As Tonya and Nick walked to their Introduction to Music Education class they conversed about their homework reading assignment, which was general music in the schools. Their conversation went something like this:
Tonya I just read that only 10-20% of high school students play or sing in school ensembles. So that means at least 80% of students don’t take any music classes at all. I think there’s something wrong with this picture.
